   I offer these titles without pieces of dead trees or glue made from too-slow animals to impede the process. Take them, let them live in your mind and your heart, as you live in mine.

   I have been published enough times to know better than to wish for copy editors or proofreaders to alter these words; the novels here remain exactly as I wrote them, without the touch of corporate hands upon them, for better or for worse, from me to you.
